Travelogue: Philippines

Just came back from a 10-day backpacking trip to the Philippines (spent less than RM1k) and seriously, after all those advises/remarks about how dangerous the country is, only one conclusion is final i.e. it is an AMAZING country!

So, in honour of Pinoy-Land, I present you:

Manila & The Cordillera : A Crash Course

1. Comprehend the system and hop on Manila's quintessential Jeepney.

2. Breathe in the spectacular rice terraces of Banaue. Friggin' insane.

3. Ask the driver to stop at Bay-yo. Has one of the best views EVER.

4. Brave Spelunking in Sagada. No worries, the hip SAGGA tour guides will take care of you.

5. Swim in the freezing waters of Bomod-Ok, Sagada.

6. Hang out, eat Halo Halo and watch Sagada teens play basketball at the community amphitheater.

7. Walk along the rice terraces in the Cordillera. The view is breath taking, yo.

8. Join the locals in an evening of bonfire conversations, Igorot music and dance!

It is a gorgeous country, Hazimah :))

It's considered dangerous bcoz of the Abu Sayyaf militants who tend to kidnap foreigners for ransom. But that's mostly in the southern part of the country.

But the truth it, it is a country chock full of kind and welcoming people!
