Jom! : Lit Up KL's Cross Causeway Exchange Poetry Slam

I am so biased when it comes to poetry sometimes than it can turn pretty ugly. This Saturday is going to be EPIC because under the umbrella of Lit Up KL, there will be the Malaysia vs Singapore poetry slam at 9.30 pm! This slam will also be the finale of the day long gigs going on at KLPAC from 4pm onwards, which pretty much indicates how awesome this slam is going to be (note the biasedness again)
Date: 6th August 2011, Saturday
Time: 9.30 pm - 10.30 pm
Venue: KLPAC
Anyway, so 5 Malaysian slammers will be going against 5 of the top Singaporean poets and I haven't seen anything like this happening since my first slam experience a couple of years back. Interesting to note that my first slam just HAD to be a face off with Singapore. Of course, I was kicked out in the very first round. Haha. So we'll see how this Saturday turns out. Have a look at the slam's line up, I am nervous already.

Malaysia:
  1. Jamal Raslan @QiyasDeLaSoul
  2. Thato Ntshobele @Thatontshabele
  3. Sheena Baharudin (That's me!) @sheenadin
  4. Afi Noor @peachdrug
  5. Michelle Lee

Singapore:
  1. Ben Chua
  2. Marc Nair
  3. Bani Haykal
  4. Deborah
  5. Koh You

It'll be crazy not to be there especially when it is free! For more info, have a look at the FB event page for Lit Up KL. See you there!

Best wishes for a successful Saturday SLAM night! Don't let those Singaporeans get you down, just be YOU and shine your light! Then, of course, you will win.
